The Maintenance Technician supports safe, efficient production by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing machinery, equipment, and facility systems. This role focuses on minimizing downtime and ensure consistent production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production lines, conveyors, motors, pumps, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, completing timely repairs to reduce downtime
- Install, set up, and assist with commissioning new machinery and equipment as directed
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, equipment manuals, and work orders to plan and execute tasks.
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed using welding, cutting, and machining tools (within skill level)
- Inspect equipment, identify hazards or wear issues, and recommend corrective actions or improvements
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage
- Follow all plant safety rules, lockout/tagout, and OSHA requirements
- Collaborate with production operators and supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field preferred
- Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair of production equipment
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, basic electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial safety practices
- Ability to safely and effectively use hand and power tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals and follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills for email, work orders, and maintenance logs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
Physical Requirements and Schedule:
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures
- PPE is provided and required
Schedule:
1st Shift: 7:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Thursday
7:00 am to 3:30 pm Friday
(Rotating) 7:00 am to Noon or 3:30 pm on Saturdays
2nd Shift: 3:30 pm to 1:00 am Monday thru Thursday
3:30 pm to 12:00 am Friday
(Rotating) 7:00 am to Noon or 3:30 pm on Saturday
Overtime required as needed to support production
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay range: $30.00 per hour and up, based on experience and qualifications
